False fraud phone calls

We have had reports of members being called stating that their credit card had been compromised and asking for his card number and other financial information.  The number on caller id was 850-628-6672.  This is not a valid phone number for Bay Credit Union nor any of our vendors.  (10/3/17)

About Us

Bay Credit Union was established in August of 1952 as International Paper Employees Federal Credit Union. In 1976 the name was changed to Bay County Industrial Credit Union to more adequately reflect the expanded membership. Again in 1987 the name was changed to Bay Credit Union when our field of membership was opened to virtually all residents of Bay County. In 2016 we expanded our field of membership to include anyone who lives or works in Bay, Gulf, Jackson, Walton, and Washington counties in Florida.

Membership at Bay Credit Union

We are a community Credit Union. This means that Membership in this Credit Union is limited to those persons who live or work in Bay, Gulf, Jackson, Walton, or Washington counties in Florida; employees of this Credit Union; organizations of such persons not covered by a credit union of their own or members of the immediate families of any of the above. To open a membership, simply bring in a current Florida ID with your current address on it, or proof of current address such as a recent utility bill, or current state issued ID and your active military ID with your opening deposit. You will need $30.00 to start your membership with a share (savings) account. This covers your minimum balance of $25.00 and a one-time $5.00 membership fee. To add a checking, an initial deposit of $50.00 is required however, there is no minimum balance for checking accounts.
